Job Description Essential duties and responsibilities
Install and maintain production equipment as well as primary and secondary facility support systems Provide
emergency/unscheduled
repairs of production equipment during routine production hours Perform preventative maintenance (PM) functions for production and support equipment as specified by PM schedule(s) Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production equipment Read and interpret equipment manuals and works orders to perform required service Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments as needed Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties Detect faulty operations, defective materials, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas, in and outside the facility Other assignments as defined Qualification requirements
Effective communication & interpersonal skills required to build relationships across the business Must be able to follow written instructions in English, read a tape measure High degree of accuracy and attention to detail Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills Effective verbal, listening and written communication skills Effective organizational, stress and time management skills Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines Ability to work independently and as a team member High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of production maintenance experience. 4+ years of manufacturing experience; strong pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with some PLC experience; furniture manufacturing preferred Sewing machine experience preferred Physical demands and abilities
Prolonged periods of standing, bending, reaching, and walking Able to lift 50 pounds, repetitively Regularly use hands and fingers to handle, control or feel parts
