Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Mechanic to support ongoing maintenance, repair, and equipment improvement efforts within our manufacturing facility. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, rebuilding, and installing a wide variety of machines and systems, with an emphasis on safety, efficiency, and precision. Key Responsibilities Perform repairs, installations, rebuilds, and overhauls of machinery and mechanical systems.
Work with machine operators and other trades to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals; create sketches for custom components when needed.
Operate machine tools, welding equipment, and plumbing systems to fabricate or repair components.
Diagnose problems with motors, gearboxes, presses, and other industrial equipment.
Maintain an organized and clean work area while adhering to all safety protocols.
Document maintenance activities and report equipment conditions as required.
Support production operations by ensuring machines remain operational and efficient.
Perform additional maintenance-related tasks as assigned.
Tools & Equipment Used Manual and power hand tools
Machine shop tools and instruments
Welding equipment (gas and electric)
Plumbing and pipefitting tools
Diagnostic and measuring instruments
Working Conditions & Physical Demands Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, twist, and crawl for extended periods (minimum 8 hours/day)
Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs. with team assistance
Must work in a dynamic industrial environment and occasionally in confined or elevated spaces
Qualifications Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in a maintenance mechanic role
Prior experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is strongly preferred
Solid skills in troubleshooting mechanical systems including motors and gearboxes
Familiarity with using power tools, presses, and other heavy equipment
Welding experience is a plus
Technical certifications are a plus but not required
Must provide a personal basic tool kit (annual tool allowance provided)
