Job Description Description: Seeking conveyor mechanics to work night shift in the food industry in Tarboro, NC. Hours will be 7:00 pm to 7:00 am on alternating weekly shifts of days and nights.
Installing, assembling, and maintaining conveyor systems, including belts, rollers, motors, and control systems. Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical problems, such as belt misalignments, motor failures, or sensor malfunctions. Replacing worn or damaged parts, including belts, rollers, bearings, and other components. Adjusting and calibrating conveyor components to ensure smooth and efficient operation. Adhering to safety regulations and company policies, ensuring a safe working environment. Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and inspections. Working with other maintenance personnel, operations teams, and safety staff to ensure system reliability and productivity. Requirements:
Basic understanding of mechanical systems and components, including belts, rollers, bearings, and motors. Basic understanding of electrical systems, including motors, sensors, and control systems. Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and simple electrical problems. Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals. Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to conveyor systems. Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors. Ability to identify and resolve complex issues related to conveyor systems. Must have dependable transportation. High school diploma or GED required. Compensation based on experience - $20 - $25 per hour.
