Under direction of the Executive Director of the Ohio School Safety Center (OSSC), perform non-routine administrative tasks & independently formulate decisions & or judgements involving non-legal interpretation of division policies & procedures as they would apply to given situation to resolve problems, prepare correspondence &/or reports or to carry out other assignments:

Coordinate meetings to discuss implementation of new legislation; Coordinate, schedule, & maintain calendars for Executive Director & general OSSC events; Serve as primary contact for scheduling OSSC spaces; Review draft communications & provide feedback on grammar, spelling & formatting; Answer general inquiries on the OSSC main phone line & respond to inquiries received in the general school safety inboxes; Coordinate interviews & assist with tours of the OSSC; Draft & submit required reports; Attend OSSC staff meetings & draft meeting notes &/or timelines for new projects; Manage large OSSC vehicle fleet (e.g., pool car & assigned vehicles) maintenance & voyager programs; Communicate decisions, directives &/or assignments to appropriate staff; Provide administrative support & assist with the coordination of large events & conferences; Distribute incoming mail & prepare small &/or large mailers for various school safety marketing efforts; Assist OSSC team members with submission & completion of travel & expense reports; Book OSSC travel including accommodations & transportation related to trainings & events; Prepare & submit requisitions for purchasing, contracts, & agreements; Assist with equipment needs &/or software requests; Maintain OSSC's purchasing card & ensure all agency, state & federal laws are followed for purchases; Assist with drafting budgets & justifications for spending; Perform other related duties as assigned (e.g., assist with procurement requests & contracts, submit facility requests, order office supplies & business cards, & submit requests for maintenance on office equipment).

Qualifications

30 mos. exp. or 30 mos. trg. in secretarial/administrative professional field.

-Or completion of associate core coursework in secretarial science or business office applications from accredited career school or community college; 12 mos. exp. in secretarial/administrative professional field.

-Or 12 mos. exp. as Administrative Professional 2,16872.

-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
