This regional medical center is a comprehensive healthcare facility serving Palestine and surrounding communities. The center provides essential medical services with a focus on supporting both obstetric/gynecological care and emergency department needs in the absence of a dedicated pediatric unit.

Board Certified - Pediatrics
Job Details:
• Coverage needed for specific dates in October: 7-9, 15-19, and 29-31 (11 days total)
• Must be NRP certified - this is a mandatory requirement
• Primary responsibility is to support OB/GYN and Emergency Department services
• In-house call available with expectation to be available via phone and within 30-mile radius
• Preferred skills include management of non-invasive ventilation (neo-puff) and ventilation management for newborns and pediatric patients
• Experience with intubation procedures for both newborns and pediatric patients preferred
• Ability to perform various procedures preferred: conscious and deep sedation, central and arterial lines, UVC/UAC placement, lumbar puncture, paracentesis, thoracentesis
• Additional preferred skills: chest tube insertion, needle pneumothorax decompression, X-ray and EKG interpretation
• Experience with PA catheter management, exchange transfusion, minor laceration suturing, circumcision, and swallow studies beneficial
• Must maintain current Texas medical license
• Board certification required with ACLS and PALS certifications
• Expedited credentialing process available
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
