Position Overview: The Electrical Project Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of electrical contracting projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality and safety standards. This role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership ability, and excellent communication skills to successfully manage project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and client relationships. Project Planning and Execution: Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource needs. Coordinate all phases of electrical projects—from design and procurement through installation, testing, and commissioning. Conduct weekly procurement reviews to ensure materials and equipment are being ordered on time and follow up on submittal status and delivery schedules. Ensure project execution complies with NEC, building codes, safety standards, and client requirements. Maintain active tracking of all material submittals and procurement packages. Collaborate with project stakeholders during weekly job reviews to address procurement concerns and help prevent jobsite delays. Information Management & RFIs: Proactively identify gaps or inconsistencies in project drawings or specifications. Communicate daily with field personnel to ensure clarity on scope, sequence, and details. PMs are expected to take ownership of keeping field teams informed and equipped with accurate direction to avoid rework and maintain project efficiency. Site Visits & Field Collaboration: Conduct job site visits at least once per week. Meet with foremen regularly to review schedule, manpower, material needs, tool requirements, and any open questions or issues. Ensure strong alignment between office management and field operations, supporting foremen in real time. Customer Relations: Serve as the main point of contact for general contractors and clients. Deliver a positive client experience to help secure future opportunities. Budget and Financial Oversight: Monitor project costs and forecast budgets regularly. Review and approve invoices, change orders, and subcontractor payments. Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without sacrificing safety or quality. Attend and participate in weekly job calls with foremen, Kyle, and Shawn to ensure alignment across all project stakeholders. Provide consistent project updates internally and externally. Maintain all project documentation, including contracts, schedules, submittals, RFIs, change orders, permits, and inspections. Coordinate final testing, commissioning, and project closeout. Ensure adherence to applicable codes and regulatory requirements. Champion and uphold corporate safety standards across all assigned job sites Execute routine safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and internal safety protocols Proactively identify, communicate, and mitigate safety risks; Verify field personnel are trained, equipped, and consistently utilizing required personal protective equipment (PPE) Demonstrate leadership by modeling and reinforcing a zero-compromise, safety-first culture at all levels of field operations Minimum of 5 years of experience managing electrical contracting projects. Strong understanding of commercial and industrial electrical systems. Proven ability to manage multiple active projects and teams simultaneously. Proficiency with project management software such as Procore, BIM 360, Autodesk, and ACC. Strong financial and budget management skills. Deep knowledge of NEC and local building/electrical codes. Ability to work both in the office and on active job sites. Setting: Combination of office and field-based work. Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, standard 8-hour shift, with flexibility to accommodate project needs.
