We are seeking candidates with direct Environmental professional experience managing environmental remediation projects under New Jersey LSRP regulations.
Position Summary
BEM has an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Project Manager with 8 to 12 years of industry experience to lead and manage client success and site remediation projects throughout New Jersey. The ideal candidate will be a Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) with proven experience managing environmental projects in accordance with NJDEP regulations. This role involves client management, technical oversight, regulatory coordination, staff management, and project team leadership from investigation through site closure. Position Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all phases of site remediation projects in compliance with the New Jersey Site Remediation Reform Act (SRRA) and NJDEP regulations.
- Serve as LSRP of record on certain sites, providing professional certification, guidance, and decision-making on environmental remediation projects.
- Coordinate and lead project teams, including engineers, scientists, geologists, and subcontractors.
- Develop and manage project scopes, budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
- Prepare and review environmental reports including PA, SI, RIWP, RAW, RAO, DN, CEA, BN, and other NJDEP-required documents.
- Maintain clear communication with clients, regulators (e.g., NJDEP), and internal stakeholders.
- Experience working for state and municipal agencies is a plus but not required.
- Ensure timely submission of regulatory documents and compliance with statutory deadlines.
- Oversee field activities such as site investigations, groundwater and soil sampling, and remediation action implementation.
- Mentor junior staff and provide QA/QC for project documentation.

Experience/Education/Licensing & Certification Requirements
- Active LSRP license in the State of New Jersey preferred.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in environmental science, Geology, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 8-12 years of industry experience in environmental site assessment and remediation.
- Demonstrated experience managing NJDEP-regulated projects.
