Driver - Water Truck - Tanker Job at King Asphalt Inc in Jenkinsville

Perform duties to drive a water truck for the purpose of transporting water to appointed/assigned job site and thereby perform various tasks needed in the safest and most expedient manner.

Requirements: CDL - A with Tanker Endorsements. 2 years driving experience with CDL -A.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform pre-trip inspection which includes checking oil, water, fuel, tires and lights each morning prior to starting the day’s activities. Report any problems or malfunctions to supervisor.

Receive job assignment from supervisor or dispatcher. Assignments may include washing streets, proof rolling subgrade, washing pipe, wetting stone to setup for paving or wetting dirt to obtain density or to control dust.

The ability to load and transport water to the appointed destination in a safe and efficient manner. Comply with all company, DOT, Federal, State, and local safety regulations.

The ability to complete the daily DOT logbook and turn in as required to supervisor or dispatcher. Complete and turn in other required forms and reports to supervisor or dispatcher.

The ability to perform minor maintenance and repairs to truck such as painting, washing, cleaning, etc.

The ability to assist crew you were assigned to work with, in the performance of various laborious work, when truck is not needed or in use.

Follow all safety rules and company policies and procedures.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE:

Use of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of numbers including decimals and fractions is required. Check reports, forms, records and comparable data, where interpretation is required.

EXPERIENCE: Two years driving experience with your CDL A with safe and proper operation of water truck while empty or loaded, placing water, washing parking lots or streets, cleaning pipe, working next to traffic and driving on various sub-grades and inclines.
