Job Description

We are seeking a highly analytical and creative Data Analyst with a strong foundation in SQL, Power BI, and ETL processes to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for transforming complex data into actionable insights through effective data visualization and reporting. Experience with Alteryx or similar ETL tools is preferred, and a background in mapping analytics is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from various sources.
  • Design and build interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI to support business decision-making.
  • Utilize Alteryx or similar tools to create ETL workflows for data preparation and automation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into data solutions.
  • Identify data quality issues and work across teams to resolve them.
  • Apply creative problem-solving skills to develop innovative solutions for data challenges.
  • Analyze geographic data for mapping and location-based insights (preferred).
  • Communicate findings effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Power BI, with a strong portfolio of dashboards and reports.
  • Hands-on experience with Alteryx or comparable ETL tools.
  • Experience in data visualization best practices and storytelling with data.
  • Exposure to mapping analytics tools is a plus.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a passion for uncovering insights.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics) or equivalent practical experience.

Location, Reporting & Schedule

This position will report onsite to our Corporate office in downtown Chicago.

Work Schedule: Standard in-person schedule during traditional business hours

Travel Requirements: Minimal less than 5%
