Armed Security Guard – Denver / Golden

Advanced Professional Security LLC is seeking two dedicated full-time Armed Guards to join our team. We provide premier security solutions to ensure client safety and peace of mind. The position is available on a full-time and part-time basis. Guards are required to work at least one day each weekend. Candidates must be residents of Colorado by their first day of employment. Advanced Professional Security is not hiring individuals who require sponsorship for employment.

Hiring Hourly Range: $20.00 - $24.00

Key Responsibilities

• Secure assets and spaces: Protect and oversee critical areas and assets, ensuring safety and integrity.
• Maintain authority: Exhibit a commanding physical presence to deter crime and maintain order.
• Conduct security patrols: Perform regular perimeter and grounds inspections, remaining alert for unusual or suspicious activity.
• Respond to threats: Identify hazardous situations and respond effectively and safely.
• Assist and protect: Provide aid to individuals in need, ensuring their safety.
• Enforce security measures: Address trespassers or violators and detain perpetrators when necessary.
• Control access: Manage gate and door access for vehicles and personnel with strict entry protocols.
• Ensure safety: Lock doors, secure premises, and take other necessary safety measures.
• Monitor surveillance: Observe security cameras and act on signs of suspicious activity.
• Manage alarms: Set and respond to alarms, ensuring prompt action during emergencies.
• Escort personnel: Provide safe escort services for employees and visitors as needed.
• Coordinate emergency response: Activate alarms and contact external emergency services when required.
• Document incidents: Prepare detailed reports on damages, theft, and irregular activities with thorough record-keeping.
• Compliance: Adhere to all applicable state and company regulations and policies.

Required Qualifications

• Proficient reading, writing, and understanding of English
• Ability to pass a drug test (includes marijuana)
• Previous experience as an armed guard
• Technologically proficient
• Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in high-pressure situations
• Strong communication skills and courteous interaction with diverse individuals
• Demonstrated ability to follow procedures and protocols
• Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and perform routine patrols
• High school diploma or equivalent
