Position

Driver - Transport Driver (tractor trailer) CDL A required

Responsibilities

  • Inspect truck/trailer for defects for safe operation.
  • Safely load building materials onto flatbed or boom truck and unload products at commercial and residential job sites.
  • Deliver materials to the assigned area as directed by the customer, prioritizing personal safety and the safety of others.
  • Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations.
  • Must report all accidents involving driver or company equipment.
  • Lift heavy building materials up to 100+ lbs for loading/unloading and maintain stamina to perform duties.
  • Provide excellent customer service with a professional attitude.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL). Minimum Class B; Class A strongly preferred.
  • Clear three (3) year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
  • Working knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations.

Physical & Cognitive Requirements

  • Position required: stationary driving 40% of the time; ability to lift up to 80 lbs and move materials up to 100+ lbs as needed.
  • Frequent movement of materials; operate and maneuver trucks/boom vehicles; assess distances during delivery.
  • Work in an outdoor environment; effective communication with management and coworkers.

  • Prioritize job sites and deadlines; manage stress related to deadlines; multitask; receive information and directions; quickly communicate solutions; demonstrate sound judgment.
