Millwood Hospital (a UHS Facility) is a 134-bed mental health facility that provides inpatient and outpatient mental health and chemical dependency treatment. Millwood’s caring, multidisciplinary staff has provided inpatient and outpatient mental health and chemical dependency care to children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults since 1971. Millwood Hospital is located in Arlington, TX in the heart of the city. It is 5 minutes away from AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys, and less than 35 minutes from DFW International Airport. The hospital is Joint Commission accredited and part of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS).

Position Summary

The Receptionist is responsible for greeting and assisting all visitors, answering the switchboard, documenting incoming deliveries, processing incoming and outgoing mail, and providing clerical support as requested. The Receptionist handles various clerical duties and projects as assigned and may assist with completing appropriate paperwork for new admissions during after-hours shifts if assigned, as well as maintain the Receptionist schedule and serve as back up as needed.

Note: Work hours are Part-time/As Needed (days, evenings, weekends).

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Two (2) years’ experience on a multi-line phone system, preferably in a healthcare environment, and any combination of education, training, or experience in a hospital environment.
  • Additional Requirements: May be required to work occasional overtime, weekends and/or flexible hours.
