Overview

BrightStar Care of St. Simons Island, GA is looking for Caregivers to join our team. We provide uplifting in-home care for seniors and older adults who require a helping hand, a supportive companion, and day-to-day assistance in their homes. This position is full time and located in Saint Simons Island, GA. We offer a flexible schedule, competitive pay, and training opportunities. This position may require travel to those areas.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care such as bathing, dressing, ambulation, and transfers
• Accompany clients to the grocery store, doctor appointments and pharmacy visits
• Assist with mobility as defined by the plan of care and document observed changes to the Director of Nursing

Qualifications

• Must have CNA or PCA Certificate (we can help you obtain one if needed)
• Must have at least 1 year of experience as a caregiver
• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum one year of documented caregiver, home care experience is required
• Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
• Licensed driver with insured and reliable automobile
• Adhere to HIPAA and maintain client confidentiality
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English and communicate effectively
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull; may lift up to 50 pounds
