IT Desktop Support Technician Job at TEKsystems in Whitehall Township

Be among the first 25 applicants. TEKsystems' client is looking for multiple qualified candidates to support their IT department's Desktop Support team. This is a first shift, contract-to-hire opportunity and is a great way to get your foot in the door with a local enterprise company in Whitehall, MI. The role is suitable for any level of IT support and can transfer internship or IT degree experience into a lifelong IT career.

This is a fully onsite position in Whitehall, MI, with a pay range of $19.00 - $24.00 per hour, negotiable based on experience. Interviews are being scheduled as early as next week.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents, including operating systems (Windows and Mac) and a range of software applications
• Swap out laptops/desktops and deploy Windows 10/11
• Re-image Windows 11 onto machines from Windows 10
• Assist users with IT-related incidents when called upon
• Take ownership of issues by performing problem analysis and implementing temporary or permanent fixes to restore service promptly; escalate to other support teams when necessary
• Accurately record, update, and document requests using the IT service desk system
• Install and configure new IT equipment
• Resolve incidents and upgrade software and hardware
• Resolve incidents with printers, copiers, and scanners
• Maintain a first-class level of customer service

Qualifications

• Previous Helpdesk, Desktop Support, or PC Technician experience preferred
• IT Certifications are desirable
• Open to candidates at various levels of IT support experience
