Job Details:
• Coverage needed for October 15-17 due to cancellation and maternity leave• Manage deliveries (average 23-30 per month), perform C-sections, and provide ED call coverage for OB/GYN related issues• Work in a hospital setting with a dedicated Family Birthing Center with dedicated OR for C-sections• 24-hour call shifts from 8am to 8am with average 4-6 callback hours per shift• Electronic medical record system: Cerner• Support staff includes anesthesiologists (1 on-call after hours and weekends), general surgeons, 3 local OB/GYNs, 1 Family Medicine OB, pediatrician on-call, and experienced respiratory therapists• Must be Board Certified in OB/GYN or Board Eligible within 5 years• Active California medical license required• DEA required during credentialing• Clean malpractice history preferred• Minimum 10-day credentialing timeframe from completed application• Must have performed at least 100 gynecological surgical procedures in the past two years or completed a hospital-affiliated residency or clinical fellowship• Proctoring required for initial privileges according to departmental policies
