Overview Senior Director of Corporate Engagement – OHSU Foundation. The role can be based in Portland, OR, or fully remote with monthly travel to Portland. You will design and lead a comprehensive corporate engagement strategy, cultivating partnerships that fuel innovation, research, education, and clinical care across OHSU. This is a unique opportunity to build a robust program from the ground up, working with faculty, alliance teams, and external partners to advance OHSU’s mission of improving health and equity across Oregon.

What You’ll Be Doing Corporate Relations Program Development & Portfolio Management (60%) Build a sustainable corporate engagement program, collaborating across teams to capitalize on existing relationships. Lead corporate fundraising strategy with OHSU and OHSU Foundation partners; introduce best practices and innovative initiatives to advance corporate philanthropy. Work with multiple units across OHSU and OHSUF to ensure streamlined interactions with corporate partners. Build strategic alliances and a coalition of support to drive and increase corporate philanthropy and engagement across OHSU schools, centers, and programs. Build and manage a portfolio of corporate prospects and donors with giving levels from $50,000 to $1,000,000+. Cultivate, solicit, and steward corporate prospects through outreach and collaboration with OHSU partners. Partner with internal and external stakeholders (board members, faculty, OHSUF development officers, leaders) to develop and maximize strategies to secure gifts and grants from corporate partners aligned with institutional priorities. Collaborate with OHSU’s alliance teams to identify industry collaborators or sponsors for philanthropic gifts. Conduct strategy and solicitation meetings with foundation and corporate executives, program officers, and representatives. Communicate and synthesize complex scientific ideas in accessible ways. Develop policies and procedures to ensure cohesive engagement of corporate partners. Generate and present reports and materials to highlight impact from corporate engagement. Collaborate with OHSUF teams to align corporate engagement strategies with blended gifts/grants. Develop recognition and benefit packages for corporate and industry partners in line with stewardship policies, laws, and regulations. Identification and qualification of corporate partners (40%) Identify and develop external relationships with corporations and corporate foundations to acquaint potential prospects with OHSU strengths, capabilities, and priorities. Identify new corporate partners and re-engage lapsed relationships. Conduct research to identify alignment between corporate funding interests and OHSU priorities; identify key philanthropy decision makers and facilitate their engagement with OHSU leadership. Minimum Qualifications

10+ years in corporate and/or foundation fundraising with a focus on principal gifts ($1M+) and corporate fundraising, partnership management, and/or business development. Experience in healthcare or related industry, or academic/research experience in life sciences. Demonstrated success building or significantly growing a corporate fundraising program. Strong knowledge of corporate philanthropy with a focus on academic medicine and/or health and science. Excellent project management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Sound judgment and high professional standards and ethics. Compassionate and culturally responsive; ability to work well with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
