Summary
Outpatient BHS Youth Therapists provide clinical services to children, adolescents, and their families in outpatient and intensive outpatient and IOP settings. Therapists provide evidence-based interventions to help young people, and their families address mental health challenges, trauma, behavioral issues, and daily living problems to improve overall functioning. Services are delivered through a trauma-informed, culturally responsive approach that emphasizes family engagement and developmental appropriateness.
Qualifications
Required:
Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field
Current Nevada state licensure as LCSW, LMFT, or LCPC
Experience working with children, adolescents, and families
Must complete Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training within six (6) months of hire
Ability to work afternoon/evening hours to accommodate school schedules
Preferred:
More than one (1) year of experience in youth mental health services
Training in evidence-based youth and family treatments including DBT
Experience with LOCUS (Level of Care Utilization System)
Experience with ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine)
Experience with group therapy and IOP programming
