BCG Attorney Search Experience 2-10 yrs required Posted on Jun 02, 2025 Valid Through Jul 02, 2025 Profile Job Overview: A prominent law firm is seeking a skilled mid-level associate to join its Data, Privacy, and Cybersecurity Practice. This role offers the opportunity to work with an experienced team handling high-profile regulatory, investigative, and advisory matters across various industries. The associate will support clients in addressing complex legal issues related to data protection, cybersecurity, consumer privacy, and AI compliance. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, technically proficient, and capable of providing strategic legal guidance in a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape. Responsibilities: Advise clients on domestic and international data privacy regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA. Represent clients in investigations and enforcement actions by the FTC and state Attorneys General. Provide legal counsel on data collection, storage, and usage practices. Develop and review global compliance programs, privacy policies, and cybersecurity protocols. Assist in legal strategies and responses to data breaches and cybersecurity incidents. Guide clients on AI governance and related regulatory concerns. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess risk and ensure regulatory compliance across operations. Requirements: 3–5 years of legal experience focusing on privacy, data protection, cybersecurity, or consumer protection. Experience with technology companies or in government regulatory roles is preferred. Familiarity with FTC enforcement and privacy/data security policies is strongly desired. Ability to manage complex legal matters and provide practical advice to clients. Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school with strong academic performance. Certifications: Active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) is a plus. Skills: Deep understanding of data privacy and cybersecurity regulations and best practices. Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills. Familiarity with computer programming, web technologies, network infrastructure, or databases is advantageous. Excellent communication and client management skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines.
