Job Overview The General Manager will lead golf operations, focusing on increasing annual rounds, lessons, food and beverage sales, and memberships. This role is crucial for managing the transition from a public to a semi-private, and potentially private, course, ensuring financial performance and member satisfaction. The candidate must be exceptionally skilled in developing a positive and inclusive team culture, implementing initiatives to boost employee engagement, retention, and development. This includes leading by example to promote excellence, teamwork, and customer service, fostering a cohesive work environment aligned with the resort's values. The Club's General Manager will be retiring this year. Anticipated start date: July 20, 2025.

Salary and Benefits

Salary Range: $110K-$150K

Health, Dental, and Vision: Club paid 50%

Housing: Club will provide housing with a cap of $2000/month

Bonus: Currently being formulated

Relocation: Up to $10K

CCMAA: Local, national dues plus annual conference

Country Club General Manager/COO Responsibilities

Implements general policies established by the Ownership; directs their administration and execution.

Plans, develops, and approves specific operational policies, programs, procedures, and methods in concert with general policies.

Coordinates the development of the club’s long-range and annual (business) plans.

Coordinates the development of operating and capital budgets according to the budget calendar; monitors monthly and other financial statements for the club; takes effective corrective action as required.

Coordinates and serves as an ex-officio member of appropriate club committees.

Welcomes new club members; “meets and greets” all club members as practical during their visits to the club.

Ensures the club is operated following all applicable local, state, and federal laws.

Coordinates marketing and membership relations programs to promote the club’s services and facilities.

Ensures high standards for food, beverage, sports, recreation, entertainment, and other club services.

Analyzes financial statements, manages cash flow, and establishes controls to safeguard funds. Reviews income and costs relative to goals; takes corrective action as necessary.

Works with department heads to schedule, supervise, and direct all club employees.

Participates in outside activities to enhance the prestige of the club and fulfills public obligations as a community member.

Country Club General Manager Requirements

Solid tenure

Effective communicator

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

CCMAA designation preferred

Education Bachelor of Science in Hospitality or Business Administration is preferred.
