The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Executive and Tribal Services Advisor is responsible for overseeing the executive level support to the SCF Board of Directors (BOD) and Tribal Health Advisory Councils (THAC). This position, with minimal oversight, manages the day-to-day operations of the BOD. The Executive and Tribal Services Advisor is privy to confidential matters including personnel issues, financial reports, proprietary information, strategic relationships, and legal matters discussed by the SCF BOD. The Executive and Tribal Services Advisor is directly responsible for overseeing the coordination of all administrative duties related to the BOD and THAC. This position requires travel, evening and weekend hours and the ability to adapt to a frequently changing work day.

Qualifications: SCF programs are established to serve a primary population comprised of Alaska Native people who are affiliated with Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) and Alaska Native and American Indian people within SCF’s geographical service area. Employees should have a thorough understanding of the cultures and the needs of this population. Such knowledge is critical to ensure the achievement of SCF’s vision of a Native Community that enjoys physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness, and mission of working together with the Native Community to achieve wellness through health and related services: Master’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience. Five (5) years of experience in a progressively responsible position in an association or non-profit governance that includes two (2) years of frequent and regular interaction with Executive level staff; OR demonstrated proficiency as an Executive and Tribal Services Specialist at Southcentral Foundation. Demonstrated proficiency in a management position such as Special Assistant, Supervisor, Manager or Executive and Tribal Services Specialist at SCF. Jobs designated as a Health Care Personnel (HCP) position, requires that you have documentation that you have completed the following immunizations prior to your first day of employment: MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella), Varicella (Chicken Pox), Hepatitis B, Influenza, T-dap (Tetanus - Diphtheria - Pertussis), and COVID-19 vaccination is required.
