Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Job Description The Manager, Strategy & Analytics is responsible for analyzing data to support decision-making in content, programming, business development, and internal communication for the Local Media division. The individual should have strong personnel management and communication skills, a solid analytical background, and be proficient with media research software.

Support station leadership in defining challenges, developing strategies, and providing solutions.

Oversee Nielsen and ComScore audience data and other syndicated data (Vivvex, Scarborough, Simmons, etc.), including weekly reporting for local leadership.

Manage audience delivery data in Wide Orbit Media Sales, including sales inventory, upcoming programming, ratings, and sales estimates.

Provide audience estimates for current and potential programming to support finance.

Assist business development by working with sales and marketing to develop client proposals.

Create visual presentations from raw data to tell compelling stories.

Manage a direct report.

Qualifications

3+ years in media research or data analytics, with expertise in Nielsen ratings, syndicated products, and emerging audience measurement tools.

Bachelor’s Degree.

Familiarity with digital measurement tools (Adobe Analytics, comScore, etc.).

Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros, etc.).

Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Domo, etc.) and storytelling with data.

Experience managing direct reports.

Additional Information This position is hybrid, requiring at least three days per week in the office. It offers benefits including health insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and more. Salary range: $85,000-$105,000, bonus eligible.
