It is also the primary physician group for Truman Medical Centers/University Health in Kansas City, MO, known as "Kansas City's Essential Hospital," serving as the safety net healthcare system for Jackson County/Kansas City, MO. TMC/UH is a 547-bed, not-for-profit health system recognized for high-quality, compassionate care, especially noted during the 2020 pandemic for leadership in COVID care and testing.

University Health-Truman Medical Centers (UH-TMC) , seeks a
Program Director for the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship Program
through
University Health Physicians . The MFM physician will join the Department of OB/GYN at UH-TMC, serving a diverse metropolitan area of approximately 2.4 million residents across the UH-TMC Health Sciences District and Lakewood locations in Kansas City, MO.

Level III NICU with specialized team for sick and newborn babies
OB/GYN Residency Program with 32 residents
Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship
Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery fellowship

MFM Fellowship Program
The program has a long-standing academic tradition, currently training one fellow per year. Fellows rotate across three Kansas City hospitals, providing care for high-risk pregnancies, engaging in clinical, bench, and translational research, and mentoring residents and students. Each hospital offers unique educational strengths.
UH-TMC, UMKC School of Medicine, and Children's Mercy Hospital are on the Hospital Hill campus, with access to basic science labs. UH-TMC handles some of the region's highest acuity cases, offering a rich environment for maternal and fetal pathophysiology studies.
Additional exposures include St. Luke's Hospital's specialized heart disease and pregnancy clinic, staffed by Cardiology and MFM teams, and the Fetal Health Center at Children's Mercy, which manages fetal and neonatal anomalies, including cardiac issues. Fellows participate in echocardiography, obstetric and fetal surgeries, and collaborate with specialists across disciplines.
