SUMMARY Bering Straits Construction Solutions (BSCS), a subsidiary of Bering Straits Corporation, is currently seeking a qualified, highly motivated individual with DoD contract experience. The candidate will perform all facets of the Bering Straits East Coast model, including business development and marketing, contract management, estimating, proposal writing, budget tracking, and other tasks as assigned. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES The following duties are representative of the role and not exhaustive. Additional duties may be assigned. Manage federal contracts (DOD and civilian agencies), including task order contracts and overseeing site personnel and subcontractors. Estimate project costs; experience with RSMeans is a plus. Handle project buyout processes. Read and interpret prints (civil, structural, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, etc.). Write sources sought, RFI, and proposal documents. Develop business proposals and support business development efforts. Suggest value-engineered options within budget constraints. Leverage relationships to support construction industry business growth. Utilize Microsoft Project and P6 software. Understand the 8(a) program and project life cycle. Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATION Applicants must be able to perform all essential duties satisfactorily. Minimum Qualifications Certified Construction Manager or Bachelor's degree in Construction/Engineering from an accredited institution, with at least 8 years of relevant experience. OSHA 30 Certification (can be obtained post-employment). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Current favorable Agency Check with Inquiry (NACI) per AR 380-67. Valid driver’s license. Respect for cultural diversity, commitment to a harassment-free environment, ethical conduct, and organizational values. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must maintain mental alertness; physical demands include sitting, standing, walking, bending, and stooping as needed. DOT SAFETY ROLE This position is not subject to DOT safety-sensitive requirements. WORK ENVIRONMENT Primarily office-based, involving extensive computer use. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES No current supervisory duties, but may support management roles upon contract award. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Pre-employment drug screening, background checks, and necessary security clearances for military access may be required.
