Job Description The Insights and Decision Science (IDS) team is dedicated to enabling improved decision-making at Novartis by leveraging data and advanced analytics capabilities to generate actionable insights that drive business growth. We collaborate closely with the US business, providing insights and challenging ideas to empower smarter, data-driven decision-making. Reporting to the Executive Director, IDS and Data Partnerships, the Associate Director, IDS and Data Partnerships will play a critical role in establishing strong data partnerships to support the US Commercial organization. This position will be responsible for overseeing Novartis' existing strategic partnerships within IDS to ensure compliance and quality are maintained, and that Novartis teams have the appropriate systems to meet their use case needs. As the Associate Director, IDS and Data Partnerships, you will focus on forging and managing IDS data partnerships, monitoring spends, and ensuring all external partnerships meet established data standards and regulatory requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the effectiveness of ongoing data partnerships, track IDS partnerships and spends, enforce data stewardship practices, and ensure data assets are leveraged effectively across the organization. Key Responsibilities: Implement the organization's data partnership strategy, including identifying critical data needs. Monitor adherence to data quality, security, and compliance standards for all external data sources, platforms, and vendors, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Collaborate with data vendors and cross-functional teams to address data quality issues and communicate changes. Implement oversight mechanisms for external data partnerships, ensuring compliance with data standards, sharing agreements, and internal policies. Implement data stewardship practices across platforms, vendors, and solutions, verifying proper data management and governance, and providing performance metrics and governance reports to senior leadership. Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies, improved governance, and enhanced collaboration internally and with external vendors. Essential Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field. 6-8 years of experience in establishing and managing data partnerships, with a focus on data governance and management. Deep understanding of data partnership principles, frameworks, and best practices. Familiarity with data privacy, security, and regulatory standards. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with risk management experience related to external data sharing. Certification in data governance (e.g., DM-BOK, CDMP) is preferred. Compensation and Benefits: The salary range for this position is $152,600 to $283,400 annually, subject to adjustments based on market conditions, experience, and location. The total package may include bonuses, stock units, and comprehensive benefits such as health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off. Details will be provided upon offer.
