About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to play a pivotal role in shaping a thriving, equitable, and mission-aligned workplace. The CHRO will be responsible for leading the HR and Compliance functions, with a strong focus on organizational development, alignment, and strategic systems integration. This leader will be tasked with building a cohesive people strategy that centers on accountability and inclusion, driving continuous improvement in core HR operations, and fostering a consistent, transparent, and values-based employee experience. The role also involves oversight of HR and Compliance to ensure operational excellence and empower managers and staff to lead with clarity, compassion, and courage. Candidates for the CHRO position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least 15 years of progressive HR leadership experience, including as a senior leader in a complex, mission-driven organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading HR strategy, organizational change, and system-wide policy design, as well as experience in audit and compliance. They should be adept at aligning people operations with organizational values, particularly in community-focused environments, and have experience in leading the planning and implementation of HRIS and related technology solutions. The CHRO will also be responsible for team leadership, capacity building, workforce planning, and talent mobility, and must demonstrate strong leadership competencies, including emotional intelligence, a deep understanding of trauma-informed practices, and a commitment to advancing internal equity, inclusion, and belonging.
