About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to play a pivotal role in the establishment of a new academic medical center. This visionary HR executive will be responsible for building and leading an agile HR organization that can support the rapid transformation and expansion of the medical workforce. The CHRO will work closely with the Senior Vice President of Medical Affairs and Dean to reimagine the healthcare workforce structure, roles, and incentives, with a focus on flexible staffing models, continuous upskilling, and cross-functional teams. The role also involves developing and guiding a strategy that prioritizes well-being and retention, as well as creating a resilient workforce supported by restorative spaces, interdisciplinary collaboration, and technology. The ideal candidate for the CHRO position at the company should have over 15 years' of HR experience in large, multi-faceted, decentralized, and complex organizations, with a preference for those with a background in academic health systems. Key responsibilities will include overseeing the existing workforce and leading efforts to more than triple the employed workforce over the next five years. The CHRO will be instrumental in the development of successful pipeline programs and will be at the forefront of the recruitment and onboarding process, particularly in the months leading up to the opening of the new hospital. The role demands a leader with reasonable domain expertise across all critical HR functions, the ability to rapidly grow teams, and a strong tolerance for ambiguity, with a passion for working in fast-paced environments.
