What You Can Expect To Be Doing EDC-Inc, a division looking for a Land Surveyor / Project Manager . The function of the Land Surveyor / Project Manager is to plan, organize, and coordinate the activities of the project to best accomplish the successful completion of all projects to which assigned while operating within the guidelines established by the Regional Survey Manager and/or Division Director and within the policies and procedures established for project management. Directs others toward preparation of a professional, economical, and effective product for each individual project.
Works closely with personnel from other departments as necessary to ensure fulfillment of contract requirements.
Manages a project team and multiple projects.
Manages contract budgets and estimates to completion and updates as conditions change. Communicates scope of work changes with clients, including project schedule and budget impacts, and requests client approval before authorizing or performing such out-of-scope work.
Prepares project proposals including scope of work, time, and estimated manpower.
Work is performed in both office and field settings. Outdoor work is subject to temperature extremes and inclement weather conditions. Work hours are flexible and are subject to change based upon project schedules.
Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Surveying Engineering (or equivalent) or equivalent work experience. Minimum of ten years of surveying experience.
Ability to and interest in managing projects.
A working knowledge of modern survey techniques, and computer programs is required.
Registration as a Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM) in Florida, or ability to attain within 6 months, is required.
