Title: Project Manager - K-12 Schools

Location: Houston, Texas

Compensation: up to $200,000

Are you a Project Manager passionate about building modern learning environments? Our client, a leading Houston-based General Contractor, is seeking an experienced professional to lead their K-12 and educational facility projects.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering school construction projects that meet strict safety, budget, and timeline requirements while minimizing disruption to students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all project phases, including budgeting, cost forecasting, scheduling, and procurement, ensuring compliance with public funding guidelines.
• Serve as the primary liaison for school district representatives, architects, and community stakeholders.
• Lead project teams in developing and executing phasing plans that prioritize safety and align with the academic calendar.
• Oversee the entire subcontractor process, from negotiation and contracting to on-site performance.
• Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to budget, schedule, and site logistics in an active school environment.

Required Experience & Skills:

• Proven track record as a Project Manager with a general contractor, specifically on K-12 school projects.
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing project P&L.
• Proficiency in project management software such as Procore or Bluebeam.
• Excellent communication and client relations skills, with the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments.
• Thorough understanding of construction methods suitable for occupied facilities.
