Job Title:

Hispanic TV News Anchor Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic, bilingual (Spanish/English) News Anchor to join our Hispanic television media team. The ideal candidate will deliver news stories clearly, credibly, and compellingly to a diverse Spanish-speaking audience. This role requires strong journalistic instincts, excellent communication skills, on-camera presence, and a passion for informing and engaging the community. Key Responsibilities:

Anchor live newscasts, special reports, and breaking news coverage in Spanish

Write and edit news scripts and teasers for clarity, accuracy, and audience engagement

Collaborate with producers, reporters, and assignment editors on story development and show flow

Conduct live interviews and participate in community-focused segments and events

Represent the station at public appearances, events, or promotional campaigns as needed

Ensure content adheres to journalistic ethics, legal guidelines, and internal editorial standards

Stay current on local, national, and international news affecting Hispanic communities

Review scripts and provide feedback to newsroom team for tone, balance, and accuracy

Assist with digital and social media content when applicable (e.g., recording short videos or promos)

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field

3–5 years of on-air experience in broadcast journalism (TV or digital), preferably in a Spanish-language media outlet

Native or near-native fluency in Spanish; strong working proficiency in English

Clear articulation, strong presentation skills, and excellent storytelling ability

Comfortable with live broadcasting, teleprompter use, and time-sensitive delivery

Knowledge of current events and issues relevant to Hispanic audiences

Familiarity with newsroom software (e.g., ENPS, iNews), video editing tools, and broadcast production workflows

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in bilingual anchoring (Spanish and English segments)

Knowledge of media law and FCC broadcast regulations

Established presence on social media platforms for news engagement

Comfortable with field reporting and live remotes when required

Work Environment:

Fast-paced newsroom and studio environment

May involve travel for news coverage or station events

Must be able to remain in a stationary position while anchoring broadcasts
