Responsibilities
- The warehouse associate is responsible for receiving, labeling, and storing incoming shipments, assessing stock for damages, keeping a concise record of inventory, and accurately filling customer orders.
- The warehouse associate is responsible for the day-to-day tasks that keep the warehouse running efficiently, including receiving, labeling, storing incoming shipments, assessing stock for damages, maintaining records, and picking/fulfilling orders.
- Receiving, labeling, and storing incoming stock.
- Maintaining clear records on all inventory and stock.
- Scanning items into the warehouse management system.
- Inspecting stock for damages and keeping records of damages.
- Organizing the warehouse space.
- Preparing and picking orders for shipment.
- Recording exact arrival and departure times for shipments.
- Operating stock management tools such as powered equipment and pallet jacks.
- Counting stock and maintaining inventory records.
- Routine cleaning duties.
- Interfacing with management to ensure key objectives are realized.
- Maintaining safety regulations and compliance with all applicable regulations.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Accurately follow directions, both written and verbal
- Maintain individual productivity and quality standards according to department requirements
- Regularly lift, push, pull and/or move objects 10-50 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh up to 100 lbs
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach
- Occasionally required to sit and climb (ladders and/or stairs) or balance
- May be subject to environmental conditions, protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes
- May be required to function in narrow aisles or passageways
- Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus
- Attention to detail
- Great communication skills
- Time management skills
- Able to work well under pressure
- Must be able to work well with other staff members and supervisors
- Must have open availability, flexible and able to work various shifts and overtime
- 1-2 years warehouse experience preferred
- Familiarity with safety measures in a warehouse
- Maintain and promote workplace safety
