Warehouse Associate Job at Mattress Firm in Franklin

Overview

Warehouse Associate role with Mattress Firm. In this position you will support loading, unloading, staging, inventory control, safety, sanitation, and basic warehouse operations to ensure the smooth final step of the Mattress Firm shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload product from delivery trucks and vendor shipments
• Stage deliveries and store product in designated locations
• Ensure inventory is dated and rotated per schedule
• Inspect products for defects and damages when receiving or shipping
• Obtain appropriate and authorized signatures on paperwork
• Assist in customer pickups and provide excellent customer service
• Participate in inbound and outbound quality assurance processes
• Operate and maintain order pickers and warehouse equipment; may operate other specialized equipment
• Maintain clean and organized stock/merchandise areas; clean offices, warehouses, and surrounding spaces
• Remove trash daily and dispose of/recycle materials as required
• Clean and sanitize products per company procedures
• Complete required training modules and certifications by due dates
• Follow safety policies and company standards; communicate concerns to leadership
• Adhere to company policies and appearance/brand standards

Qualifications

• 1+ years general work experience preferred
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and time management skills
• Ability to lift or move 100 pounds or more; frequent standing, walking, bending
• Knowledge of Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) and safety inspections

Compensation

Competitive pay rate of $18.50 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities may be available at the Company’s discretion.

Pay amount does not guarantee employment for any particular time.
