Overview
The Data Reconciliation Analyst plays a critical role within the Performance and Data Reconciliation (PDR) team, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of performance and client reporting data across LPL’s platforms. This role serves as a strategic partner and escalation point for complex data reconciliation issues, driving resolution through analytical expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous process improvement. The Data Reconciliation Analyst is expected to lead initiatives that enhance data quality, mitigate risk, and elevate the overall advisor experience. This position requires a strong blend of technical acumen, business insight, and customer-centric focus to support advisors and internal stakeholders with timely and accurate reporting solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead resolution efforts for complex data discrepancies and performance reporting escalations, ensuring timely and accurate outcomes.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on client reporting applications, performance calculations, and transaction accounting.
- Analyze firm-wide investment activity to identify trends, anomalies, and reconciliation gaps.
- Validate and audit performance figures, proactively identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with technology, operations, and product teams to address systemic issues and improve data workflows.
- Drive process improvements by identifying inefficiencies, proposing solutions, and leading implementation efforts.
- Document and communicate data quality issues, performance metrics, and resolution strategies to stakeholders and leadership.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to elevate team capabilities.
- Contribute to risk mitigation strategies by enhancing controls and ensuring compliance with data governance standards.
- Support strategic initiatives related to reporting enhancements, platform upgrades, and advisor experience improvements.

Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- 2+ years in financial services with client-facing or operations experience (industry knowledge of mutual funds, ETF, AI, etc.)
Core Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Capable of performing under pressure and adapting to changes in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
- Strong understanding of managing investment performance data, including time-weighted and money-weighted return calculations.
- Knowledge of portfolio and investment sleeve transaction accounting and reconciliation.
- Ability to interpret data and analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
Preferences
- Proven experience in data reconciliation, performance reporting, or financial operations.
- Excel experience (macros)
- SQL or Alteryx experience
- Lean Six Sigma Belt certification preferred
- SIE preferred
- Series 99 preferred
Pay Range
$25.64-$42.73/hour
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
