We have a fantastic full-time career opportunity for a qualified PROJECT MANAGER/CONTRACTS ENGINEER with pump experience to provide contract expertise within our Nuclear business in the West Loop Chicago.

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

· Review request for quotations documents and assist Procurement in vendor technical bid evaluation, vendor selection and management.

· Follow up with multiple vendors on quotes and required information.

· Review the 'as found' reports.

· Complete the proposal and pricing associated with each job.

· Review the purchase orders and specifications.

· Responsible for generating schedules to accomplish the project/program milestones.

· Supports the Department/Project Manager in developing project plans.

· Submit drawings and documents to the customers.

· Timely in responses and actions to other duties as assigned.

· Support service organization efforts as required.

Be familiar and ensure compliance with nuclear regulations and industry standards· Must have experience working ii the pump industry.

· Prior experience as a Project Engineer or Application Engineer in the pump industry desired.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

· Must possess strong interpersonal skills and work well in a team setting as well as independently.

· Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.

· Able to be self-motivated, take initiative, be decisive, and have business acumen.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.

· Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

· Proficient computer skills including proficient with ERP, Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Job Requirements and Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years pump experience required.
  • Must have industrial manufacturing industry experience.
  • Nuclear industry experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in past positions.
  • BSME or other Engineering degree required.
