Overview

Director of Recruiting - Financial Projects Group Tatum is working with a company that experiencing significant growth and looking to expand their accounting department. Our client is looking to add a senior accountant to their accounting team. The company has a great culture and works on a hybrid schedule. The person taking on this Senior Accountant opportunity would be handling the following duties:

Responsibilities

• The senior accountant would be responsible for preparing month balance sheet, bank reconciliations, and journal entry preparation
• Assist with the month end close process and monthly/quarterly financial statement preparation.
• Responsible for handling fixed asset accounting which would include reconciling the fixed asset ledger; retiring assets; and calculating depreciation.
• The senior accountant would also be responsible for reconciling the a/p and a/r ledgers.
• This person would also assist with preparing year end schedules for the external auditors.
• Ad hoc account analysis on an as needed basis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s in accounting or finance is required
• 4+ years of month end close experience is required
• Prior experience working on Sage and QuickBooks is a plus; and intermediate excel skills are required
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are a must have.
