Who You Are

  • The Security Guard Supervisor at Galaxy’s Helios Facility is responsible for ensuring the safety of personnel, assets, and operations by overseeing security staff, managing access control, and responding to emergencies in a fast-paced environment. The role combines hands-on security duties with team leadership, training, and collaboration with internal departments to uphold Galaxy’s security standards.

What You’ll Do

As a Security Guard Supervisor at Galaxy’s Helios Facility, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety and security of personnel, assets, and operations. In addition to performing core security duties, you will provide leadership and oversight to on-site security staff and collaborate closely with operational teams to uphold Galaxy’s security standards in a dynamic, high-performance environment.

Core Responsibilities

  • Premises and Personnel Security: Patrol the property, monitor surveillance systems (CCTV), inspect buildings and access points, and control site entry to safeguard personnel, property, and sensitive data.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to incidents in accordance with Galaxy’s protocols; coordinate with local emergency services and lead on-scene response when required.
  • Incident Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate daily activity logs, generate detailed incident reports, and oversee submissions from other security personnel.
  • Site Inspections & Risk Identification: Conduct regular facility inspections to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities; escalate issues and propose solutions to senior management as appropriate.
  • Team Leadership & Supervision: Directly supervise on-site security officers, conduct shift briefings, assign duties, and monitor performance.
  • Training & Mentorship: Provide training and onboarding support to new security staff; promote adherence to best practices in safety, emergency response, and customer service.
  • Access Control & Visitor Management: Oversee identification and access control procedures for employees, contractors, and visitors; maintain visitor logs.
  • Policy and Legal Compliance: Stay current with Galaxy’s security policies, regulatory standards, and industry best practices; ensure activities align with laws at all levels.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Liaise with internal teams including operations, HR, and leadership, especially during investigations or high-priority events.
  • Role will report onsite in Afton, Texas

What We’re Looking For

  • 5 to 10 years’ experience as a Security Guard Supervisor
  • Must be legally able to work in the United States
  • Experience using security equipment such as surveillance cameras and related systems is an asset
  • Must pass pre-employment criminal, drug, and alcohol screening
  • Ability to travel to and from the Data Center site is required
  • Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English

Working Conditions

The Helios Facility, located in West Texas, is a 125,000 square foot data center and warehouse that operates under the demanding conditions of the climate. The facility supports continuous operations and requires staff capable of performing in a physically active and dynamic environment. Team members must be able to stand for extended periods, walk the interior and perimeter, and respond quickly to needs.
