Job Description

Allied Universal Security Services is seeking to fill the position of a Security Guard with a DoD Clearance in Portsmouth, RI. Part Time Hours with Monday - Friday Including Weekend Availability. Weekly Pay Starting Rate $22.78 / hour with Paid Orientation. Applicant must possess an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher. Applicant must possess a valid Driver's License for more than one year.

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer - Cleared (Clearance Required - Unarmed). A Cleared Security Officer is entrusted with sensitive information and given the responsibility to protect classified information and personnel. You will receive specialized training in site-specific security protocols associated with your clearance level, allowing for skill development and professional growth in the security field.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information with professionalism
• Conduct patrols within and around the facility on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to ensure the protection of people, assets, and sensitive or classified information
• Greet guests and employees and escort visitors and contractors to secure entry and exit points
• Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders; report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances via written and oral communication to client and/or other security personnel
• Respond to and assess security alarms or emergency alarms
• Act as a first responder in emergency situations

Qualifications (Must Have)

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
• Must possess a Department of Defense (DoD) position appropriate level security clearance
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• Must possess one or more of the following:
  • Minimum of three (3) years of security experience on a Department of Defense-cleared site
  • Prior military experience
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• Prior law enforcement or armed security experience
• Associate's degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field
