As a Security Guard - Residential Site Patrol in ROCKAWAY PARK, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential and more.
As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment at a residential location. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the property, remaining highly visible to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that may arise. You will also interact with residents and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication to address concerns and support a welcoming atmosphere. Pay Rate: $16.50 / Hour
Schedule:
- Wed — 07:00 PM to 05:00 AM
- Thu — 07:00 PM to 05:00 AM
- Fri — 07:00 PM to 05:00 AM
- Sat — 07:00 PM to 05:00 AM
What You’ll Do
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, guests, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential property and its perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to deter unauthorized access and promote a secure environment.
- Document and report security-related incidents, maintenance issues, or any unusual activity observed during patrols.
- Communicate professionally with residents, visitors, and property management as needed.
- Remain alert to surroundings and promptly address any security-related concerns or emergencies in accordance with Allied Universal procedures.

Minimum Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
