The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role. *ELECTRICIAN JOB DESCRIPTION* Job Summary: The Electrician is responsible for performing skilled level electrical work in the installation, alteration, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with standard practices of the electrical trade and in a variety of work settings (residential, commercial or industrial). Our current need is for someone who enjoys troubleshooting and taking care of customers for Service Calls, but is open to taking on small jobs with the potential for overseeing large projects as well. Qualifications: * Current Colorado Master, Journeyman or Residential Wireman license * Clean driving record and valid driver’s license * High school diploma or equivalent * Must have a variety of tools of the trade (see tool list) including most recent National Electrical Code (NEC) codebook * Strong working knowledge of electrical theory, and the associated principles, materials and equipment * Ability to read and understand electrical blueprints, schematics and diagrams and reference the NEC for electrical code * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills * Ability to calculate basic mathematical problems * Experience with the following is preferred, but not required: Solar PV systems, Lighting control, Generators & Battery Backup Systems, Motors & motor controls (PLC & Relay logic) * Willing to work overtime Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Inspect, test and diagnose issues with electrical systems and components * Install and repair electrical wiring, systems and fixtures in residential and commercial buildings * Install conduit, raceways, and all types of electrical cabling for electrical systems * Perform all work in a manner that meets and follows National Electrical Codes, any relevant blueprints and other required standards * Connect electrical systems to local utilities or renewable energy systems to provide electricity to buildings * Test electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation * Diagnose and repair electrical issues * Replace conduit, wiring, circuit breakers as needed * Assign, oversee and inspect the electrical work performed by electrical apprentices * Comply with laws and regulations pertaining to safety to include OSHA, MSHA, state and fire codes. * On a daily basis, complete required documentation of work completed and materials used * Perform other related duties as assigned * Maintain a clean work environment on site and in company vehicles Physical requirements: * Must be able to traverse and work in all areas of a jobsite in all types of weather. This includes, but is not limited to, prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, and bending. * Must be able to work at various heights from ladders, scaffolding and aerial lifts. * Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits * Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time * Exposure to characteristic construction dangers * Must be able to see colors to discern color-coded wiring * Required to work at each job location, working from home is not available Job Type: Full-time Pay: $29.00 - $35.00 per hour Benefits: * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance Ability to commute/relocate: * Montrose, CO 81403: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) License/Certification: * Colorado Electrical License (Required) * Driver's License (Required) Work Location: In person
