Overview
The Graphic Designer is a key creative role on the Stagecrafters team. This position develops clear and engaging visual communications that support our productions, campaigns, and community presence. The work blends brand stewardship with hands on production design across print and digital. The successful candidate brings a collaborative spirit, a service mindset, and pride in details.

Responsibilities
- Create show key art and logos for each production that work across print and digital.
- Design and produce all show deliverables including posters, postcards, print ads, outdoor graphics, lobby signage, web graphics, ticketing graphics, email headers, social assets, and display ads.
- Design and produce the playbill for each show including layout and typography, ad placement and specs, cast and crew pages, donor lists, proofing, press ready files, and coordination with the printer.
- Build and maintain templates for recurring needs including social posts, web banners, sponsor recognition, slide decks, and lobby monitors.
- Develop creative for institutional and campaign work including fundraising, membership, education, and special events.
- Maintain brand standards across color, type, imagery, and logo use. Ensure accessibility and readability including alt text and contrast.
- Manage art files and the asset library. Organize photos, logos, and templates. Name, package, and deliver files for print and digital.
- Coordinate with vendors and partners. Route proofs and manage timelines and budgets for print and installation.
- Support quick turn needs including playbill inserts, lobby screens, signage, and website image updates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design preferred or related field experience.
- Two or more years in graphic design. Performing arts or nonprofit experience is a plus.
- Digital Savvy. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Working knowledge of Canva, Google Suite - knowledge of Wix or website planning and creation a plus.
- Print Production. Knowledge of bleeds, color profiles, prepress, and file packaging.
- Strategic Thinking. Understanding of the theatre mission and audiences to create visuals that support ticket sales and donor engagement.
- Communication Skills. Clear, kind, and timely communication with staff, board, members, volunteers, vendors, and community partners.
- Project Management. Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple shows and campaigns at once.
- Adaptability. Flexibility to respond to changing needs during production weeks and events.
- Problem Solving. Ability to find creative solutions within brand, schedule, and budget.
- Analytical Skills. Capacity to read specs, follow templates, and use simple metrics to improve clarity and engagement.
- Creativity. A portfolio that shows excellent typography, layout, and brand application across print and digital. Illustration, photography, video, or simple motion are a plus.
