Position: HR Coordinator

Schedule: Monday - Friday, typical business hours

Starting pay: $27.00/hr

Position Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform data entry in HRIS system to ensure accurate records and payroll processing
  • Verify all attendance, hours worked and pay adjustments
  • Review timecard discrepancies and alert department managers
  • Ensure accurate records by entering wage changes, shift or position changes, terminations, job classifications, employment status, etc. into HRIS
  • Assemble requested information and respond to wage assignment deduction requests (e.g., garnishments) to appropriate agencies
  • Maintain employee personnel files in line with company policies and government regulations
  • Initiate add/change/drop actions with appropriate benefit carriers based on employee enrollment forms, change forms or terminations
  • Distribute weekly paychecks to department managers for all hourly employees
  • Report employee accrual and occurrence records
  • Initiate warning letters for violation of the company attendance policy
  • Assist the HR Generalist with employee and temporary worker orientation and paperwork
  • Assist with planning and administering employee relations activities and programs
  • Conduct retention-based activities that increase employee experiences and reduce turnover
  • Answer routine inquiries on benefits, payroll, HR policies and procedures
  • Distribute plant-wide postings and communications through plant channels (bulletin boards and TVs)
  • Greet and direct workers, visitors, contractors, etc. to appropriate department contacts
  • Provide and maintain visitor documents in accordance with plant security requirements
  • All other duties as assigned

Position Qualifications

  • Experience with data entry and HRIS systems required
  • 1–2 years of Human Resources experience strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management or relevant field OR a High School diploma with one year of HR experience
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality of all employee records and information
  • Team player who is willing to collaborate with other departments as needed
  • Solid multi-tasking skills to switch between tasks while keeping work moving forward
