Overview
Ecolab is looking for an IT Operations Support Specialist.
The primary responsibilities of the IT Operations Support Specialist center on divisional data operations and user support to the Pest Elimination and Ecosure divisions and its associates with a total over 1000 users for the IBMi environment and 2700+ total users of all servers for divisions supported. This includes monitoring system activity, troubleshooting issues, setting up security and end user support in a service desk environment. Timeliness and accuracy of backups, processing schedules and system maintenance assure optimum system availability, which is critical to supported divisional associates.
This position directly supports production and development and indirectly supports daily processing running on Microsoft platforms for system integrity, processing and up time. Up time is defined as 24/7/365.
Location: Saint Paul, MN. This is a Hybrid role. 3 days in office in Saint Paul, 2 days working from home.
Note: This is an on-call position as well. If paged, there are expectations to help resolve the issue as soon as possible.
What You Will Do
- Monitor and respond to system notification messages
- Maintaining departmental documentation
- End user support with IBMi sessions
- Completion of daily operations tasks from daily log
- Communications with other support personnel, both local and remote
- On call duties on a rotation basis
- Utilization of Robot suite of automation products to schedule jobs, distribute output, monitor messages
- Management of backups to include: providing schedule of backups to Eagan IT staff, verification of completion, restores as requested
- Completion of IT Security requests related to IBMi (AS400)
- Troubleshooting hardware and software
- Analyzing processing errors and working with development associates to review errors and develop plans to eliminate and/or automate the error handling
- Analyze Robot Schedule environment and complete requested adds, moves, changes to assure optimization for job execution
- Support ad hoc project requests from CDS Leadership
Minimum Qualifications
- High School or GED
- Two years of work experience
- Proficiency with hardware and software support
- Strong PC and systems skills required, proficient in Microsoft Office suite
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of work experience on the IBM Platform
- Strong organization, planning & prioritizing skills
- Customer service or help desk experience
- Experience utilizing call management software such as Service Now
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Proficient in EPM or the Hyperion, SAP, Power BI
Compensation
Annual or Hourly Compensation Range
The pay range for this position is $58,900.00 - $88,300.00. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
