Interpret advanced scan tool data, diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), and OEM service information to pinpoint issues efficiently. Lead and mentor lower-level technicians, providing guidance on repairs, best practices, and shop procedures. Ensure all work meets manufacturer and industry quality standards and complies with safety and emissions regulations. Communicate clearly and professionally with service advisors and customers regarding diagnostics, needed repairs, and timelines. Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies, systems, and service techniques through ongoing training and certification. Qualifications: ASE Certified Master Technician (A1-A8 required; L1 Advanced Engine Performance preferred). Preferred formal training (associates degree in automotive, dealer level factory training) if no formal training, must have a minimum of 10 years experience as a technician. 5–10+ years of professional automotive repair experience. Expert-level understanding of modern vehicle systems, including hybrid and electric drivetrains, ADAS (advanced driver-assistance systems), and CAN bus networks. Proficient with OEM diagnostic platforms, scan tools, and repair software. High level of attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and pride in workmanship. Must be familiar with and understand how to use an oscilloscope. Ideal Traits: Strong leadership qualities with a willingness to support team development. Commitment to continued education and staying ahead of industry advancements. Excellent time management and ability to work independently under minimal supervision. High level of personal and professional integrity.
