POSITION SUMMARY: The General Maintenance & Repair Worker will report to the Facilities Manager. The responsibilities for the position are the ability to perform work involving the skills of two or more maintenance or craft occupations to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of an establishment in repair. Duties may involve Perform general cleaning duties of buildings or properties, Paint or repair roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, or other parts of building structures; carpentry; repairing electrical or mechanical equipment; installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment; and repairing buildings, floors, or stairs; Maintaining warehouse clean and organized as directed by supervisor or designee. Overtime will be required. Flexible schedule is a must.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: General Plumbing repair and replacing Toilets, faucets, fix leaks, etc. Facility Repair and replacing doors, doorknobs, locks, broken tiles, polish floors, staining, etc. Outdoors: maintaining and installing landscaping, pressure washing and sidewalks and asphalt driveways, etc. Air conditioning: basic knowledge of system operation, Maintenance including changing filters, hosing down coils, clearing drain lines, monitoring temperature, controlling thermostats. Concrete repair; familiar with mixing concrete, repairing cracks, setting tile. Cleaning windows, floors, door frames, baseboards. Watering and maintaining industrial equipment batteries including monitoring charging, testing voltage levels, gravity levels, water levels, cleaning batteries, monitoring proper working condition of watering systems.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or GED, or a combination of experience and/or education in related field, a minimum of 3-12 months of Maintenance, Repair and Warehouse experience required.
