Meet the Team Acacia Communications Inc., a leader in innovative client optics and coherent technology, is currently seeking a Optical Test Engineer to design and run automated testing of Photonic Integrated Circuit (PIC) devices, assist development teams with design specifications, and improve production yields.
Your Impact As part of the Acacia/Cisco Device Verification Test team, you will work closely with experts in integrated silicon photonics, optical packaging, ASIC development, and operations." Your contributions will help deliver ground breaking, high-yield, high-throughput processes across Acacia/Cisco's portfolio of optoelectronic components and modules. Partner with RF,
silicon photonics, digital signal processing (DSP), and module design
teams to debug and support the bring-up of new photonic integrated
circuits (PICs) and modules during new product introduction. Develop test
algorithms and calibration procedures to ensure product performance and
quality. Define and
implement comprehensive design verification test plans. Prepare and
maintain detailed design verification documentation. Provide support
for PIC-level failure analysis and solving.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors + 7
years of related experience, or Masters + 4 years of related experience,
or PhD + 1 year of related experience or equivalent experience. Experience working
with fiber optic components as well as test and measurement equipment
commonly used in telecommunications and optical networking. Experience in one
or more areas such as high bandwidth radio frequency measurements,
Electro-Optical (EO) and Opto-Electrical (OE) testing, digital signal
processing (DSP) algorithms.
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of
optical communications, including Pulse Amplitude Modulation 4-level
(PAM4) and coherent optical communications Knowledge of
software and test automation e.g. Python Knowledge of
Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) and Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC)
operation and controls Experience with
JMP or similar data analysis software C++, Matlab
programming and VPI modeling experience
