Overview

Our end client is a fast-growing player in the autonomous mobility and robotics space. They build advanced self-driving and robotic delivery technologies and are expanding their team. We are looking to add an experienced Software Engineer to strengthen their Localization and Mapping group. This engineer will help design and improve both on-board localization algorithms and cloud-based mapping solutions. The role will focus on boosting accuracy and reliability and accelerating SLAM-based LiDAR map generation. This is a high-impact opportunity for someone who wants to contribute at the cutting edge of robotics and autonomous systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance cloud mapping pipelines with graph optimization
  • Build and refine multi-sensor fusion systems, integrating LiDAR, GNSS, IMU, and other sources
  • Partner with other engineering and operations teams to resolve challenges related to localization

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related discipline
  • 3+ years of professional software development experience
  • Proficiency in Python or C++
  • Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, and software design principles

Preferred Experience

  • Background in robotics with knowledge of calibration, localization methods, EKF, and point cloud algorithms
  • Solid mathematics foundation (probability theory, optimization, mechanics) and the ability to turn mathematical models into practical algorithms
  • A passion for staying ahead of the latest research and applying new ideas to keep systems state-of-the-art
