Base pay range

$50.00/hr - $60.00/hr

Responsibilities

• Kforce has a client in New York, NY that is seeking a hybrid Software Engineer to join their team. Responsibilities:
• Software Engineer will write advanced complex code for computer systems and serve as a senior source of expertise
• Perform code reviews to ensure enterprise and architectural standards and processes are followed
• Manage system and user acceptance testing cycles to ensure accurate and quality business solutions
• Participate in the development and evolution of architecture
• Provide design input across a product
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues
• As a Software Engineer, you will serve as a primary technical point of contact for external technology resources
• Act as a technology mentor to other engineers
• Participate in stand-ups, retrospectives, planning and other required meetings
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant experience
• 8+ years of Software Engineering experience
• Experience in Agile development methodology
• Experience working in an Agile environment such as scrum
• Front end development experience with Angular is an added advantage
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and microservices architecture
• Strong development experience in languages including but not limited to: Java, JavaScript, Go, python, HTML, CSS3, TypeScript, etc.
• Strong backend expertise building scalable, secure and high performing applications
• Familiar with SQL or NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, Couchbase
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills; Effective communication and collaboration abilities
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins)
• Strong command on object-oriented design, design patterns
• Strong commitment to code quality, documentation, and testing
• Ability to write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of complex system components
• Ability to design and work with complex data models
• Proficiency in front-end technologies like React is a bonus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
