Raft is hiring: Software Engineer in Colorado Springs

Software Engineer — We are looking for an experienced software engineer to support our customers and join a team of high-impact problem solvers. You will contribute to development, testing, and deployment of our infrastructure and begin taking ownership of specific modules or functionalities while being mentored by more experienced engineers.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the development, testing, and deployment of infrastructure and software components.
• Collaborate with peers and progressively own modules or functionalities.

What we are looking for

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or a related field AND 3 years’ experience OR Master’s degree with 1 year experience
• Experience with C, C++, Java, JavaScript, Python, React & Angular
• Experience in one or more Big Data/Cloud/Enterprise Frameworks, like Play, Spring Boot or Quarkus
• Experience with web-socket and RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with software design and architecture patterns
• Proficient with cloud-related software technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Kubernetes
• Proactive and self-motivated team player
• Working knowledge of: Apache Spark, Kubernetes, Kafka, Docker, GIT, Linux, SQL/NoSQL databases, Terraform, and related tools; familiarity with agile software development practices

Highly preferred

• Experience with SQL databases
• Certifications: SAFe for Teams Certification; AWS certifications (Associate Developer, and AWS Specialty Security within a year of start) or demonstrated AWS competence using CLI and Boto

Clearance requirements

• Active Secret security clearance

Work Type

• Onsite — 100% in-person in Colorado Springs, CO
• May require up to 10% travel

Salary Range

• $90,000 - $150,000
• The determination of compensation is predicated upon a candidate's comprehensive experience, demonstrated skill, and proven abilities
