We are seeking an Engineer to support the Data Team working with NiFi and data flows.

(U) The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex software systems, including processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithms, manipulation of large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems. The role involves working individually or in a team, reviewing and testing software components, resolving issues, and contributing to system design with hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, and requirements analysis.

The SWE shall possess the following capabilities:

1. Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
2. Design and code new software or modify existing software to add features.
3. Debug software and correct defects.
4. Integrate software into new or modified systems or environments.
5. Develop data queries for databases or repositories.
6. Recommend improvements for documentation and development standards.
7. Develop or implement algorithms to meet system standards.
8. Assist in developing and executing test procedures.
9. Review software and system documentation.
10. Analyze system performance and develop solutions.
11. Serve as team lead as appropriate.
12. Modify existing software for errors, hardware adaptation, or performance.
13. Design, develop, and modify software systems using scientific analysis.
14. Implement complex database interfaces/queries.
15. Oversee software development teams and ensure quality.
16. Design complex algorithms with timing and resource constraints.
17. Coordinate with system and hardware engineers for requirements and limitations.
18. Monitor and ensure operational specifications are met during system installation.
19. Recommend and implement process improvements.
20. Serve as technical lead for multiple teams.
21. Select appropriate development processes.
22. Recommend new technologies and processes.
23. Ensure quality control of all software products.
24. Delegate responsibilities and monitor team performance.
