Job Summary
The
Administrative Assistant 2
provides a broad range of administrative support for the
LEND Training Program
and the
Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (CEDD) , with additional support for
Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics (DBP)
and related projects such as the
Autism Research Consortium (ARC) . This role works under the supervision of program managers and coordinators. The
LEND Training Program
prepares professionals to work with children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other neurodevelopmental disabilities (NDDs), as well as their families, across Northern California. The
CEDD
partners with individuals with developmental disabilities and their families to improve quality of life and promote community inclusion. Key Responsibilities Track, collect, enter, and organize program and grant-related data under direction. Provide purchasing and reimbursement support, including travel coordination. Coordinate website updates, create room reservations, and schedule meetings. Assist with preparation and logistics for community events. Maintain and update the shared team calendar with meetings and events. Develop and distribute templated flyers, communications, and materials. Collaborate with departments, centers, divisions, and units to support program activities. Skills & Attributes Strong computer proficiency, including data entry and document preparation. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Capacity to work independently once direction is provided. Collaborative approach and strong interpersonal skills for cross-team communication.

Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload a license and/or certification if required for the position High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work-related experience Experience planning outreach events, training activities, and meetings Experience with data collection using Excel and/or other databases Excellent organizational and prioritization skills to carry out assignments in an efficient and timely manner Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to communicate in a pleasant, tactful, and effective manner (both orally and in writing), and to handle difficult, sensitive, and/or confidential issues with diverse groups of individuals Computer skills and working knowledge of various programs (internet, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentation software, etc.) to accomplish daily work Demonstrated skills to perform detail-oriented tasks with a high degree of accuracy Editing and writing skills to initiate, compose, format, proofread, and edit various professional documents and general correspondence Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure despite frequent interruptions, to adapt to change, to function as a team player, and to work independently
Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of autism and other neurodevelopmental disabilities Knowledge of policies and procedures of the Federal agencies concerning research grants Knowledge of UC Davis Health policies and procedures for clinical, research, and outreach activities Knowledge of University-based systems (i.e., Aggie Enterprise, Outlook, Service Now, University Library requests, etc.)
