University Hospital
The primary purpose of the Environmental Services Worker position is to perform various tasks to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment at University Hospital.
Keeps patient and non-patient areas of the facility clean, safe, and orderly condition.
Cleans hospital patient rooms, baths, showers, laboratories, offices, corridors, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, elevators, stairways, locker rooms and other areas as assigned using approved cleaners and hospital approved germicide.
Dusts furniture and equipment, empties waste baskets, trash, recycling and medical waste containers, washes walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels and sills, polishes metalwork, such as fixtures and fittings.
Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
Ability to read, write, speak, understand and communicate in English sufficiently to carry out the duties of the position; prior experience in institutional environmental services is preferred .

50 per hour, in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Law; University Hospital is one of the nation’s leading academic medical centers.
